Double Diamond Slot - IGT

The Double Diamond slot is one of the easiest games to pick up in the IGT catalogue, and that is probably what made it so popular, particularly in land-based casinos, where plenty of beginners come to try their luck on a few spins.

Double Diamond is built on 3 reels and a single payline, which runs horizontally across the middle of the game. The visuals are just as understated: a black background with purple edging, which sets up a fairly eye-catching contrast with the two diamonds sitting just below the logo. You will find 6 different symbols on the free Double Diamond slot. You need 3 matching symbols to multiply your stake and collect a win. The Double Diamond logo is the top symbol and multiplies your stake by 1,000 if you line up 3 of them. Next come the 7, the triple BAR, the double BAR, the BAR and the cherry, which has the particular feature of paying whether it appears 3 times, twice or just once on the payline. You can also pick up a win worth 5 times your stake with any 3 mixed BAR symbols.

The Double Diamond logo is a Wild that can complete a combination when 2 other matching symbols land alongside it. This Wild substitutes for every symbol in the game. Over the long run, you can expect an RTP of 95.44% on this game.

As the Double Diamond slot is a 3-reel classic, you should not expect a host of bonuses and special options. That said, it is often the simplicity, and the fact of understanding and mastering how the game works, that appeals to beginners. Other games developed by IGT are just as popular, in particular the slots Siberian Storm and Da Vinci Diamonds, which also puts the diamond at the heart of the action.
