Emperor's Garden Slot - NextGen Gaming

This adorable yet addictive slot game from NextGen Gaming is sure to transport you to the beautiful, scenic, and culturally-gifted land of China. Emperor’s Garden is really all that’s in the name, a beautiful view of the great Chinese ruler’s backyard. First released in 2015, this slot has gained quite the cult following, mostly for its sweet bonus drops. Let’s see what else is hiding in these luscious glades.

One will be able to catch the concept of this game in no time at all. Set in ancient China, the slot game highlights everything that’s synonymous with China. From the bouncing, bountiful sight of lucky carp swimming in ponds, to great statues of Chinese lions guarding entrances, the design of the slot game itself is enough to transport you back to the antiquated past of the land. The simple yet classic sounds of the Chinese harp and flute accompany each spin, which is relaxing in its way.

Gameplay is very smooth, as is the load speed of the game on both mobile and desktop. However, the animation for the spins are fairly dull, that could be worked on by NextGen. And maybe they would consider adding a speed round. An expanding wild comes in the form of a beautifully landscaped garden. As for the lucky carp scatter symbols, they trigger 10 bonus spins whenever 3 of such symbols appear on the reels.

Emperor’s Garden Slot has a total of 25, adjustable paylines. The lowest spin cost for all 25 lines on the board is as minuscule as $ 0.25.The highest bet for all lines, however, can soar up to $ 50.00. This allows players the freedom to pick a bet size that isn’t too hard on their pockets. As for variance, this game stands at medium. The autoplay feature exists but is limited to only 100 spins at a time. A demo version is also available for those who’d like to try their hand at the game, sans monetary commitment.

Moving on to returns, the RTP for Emperor’s Garden is at 95.3%, which is decent considering it’s a median risk game. Payouts are calculated from left to right on the reels. The Emperor himself is the key to the jackpot win of 5000 coins. The other high-tier symbol to look out for is the guardian lion statue, which drops 1000 coins for a 5-of-a-kind match. The lotus and gazebo symbols make up the mid-tier, with up to 500 coins in wins. Card suits fall in the low-tier with up to 250 coins up for grabs for each 5-match combination.

Emperor’s Garden may need a few tweaks here in terms of gameplay and animation. However, the frequent free spins triggers and decent payout scheme keeps players coming back in throngs.
