Ultimate Fire Link China Street Slot - Light & Wonder

Continuing its trip around the globe and extending a popular series along the way, the studio Light & Wonder takes us to Chinatown with the Ultimate Fire Link China Street slot, released in August 2022.

The name China Street, along with those colourful alleys lined with red lanterns and fragrant food stalls, inevitably brings to mind the Chinese quarters found in the heart of the world's major cities, a legacy of Chinese migration in the 19th century. These communities often settled there in search of economic opportunity. They remained close-knit and managed to preserve their culture while integrating into their new countries, resulting in a fascinating blend of ancient traditions and Western modernity.

The Ultimate Fire Link China Street slot takes us into this world full of Asian flavours, while offering new chances to strike it rich thanks to the Fire Link feature, 4 jackpot tiers and a choice of Free Games bonuses that let you pick your number of free spins and your multiplier.

A grid of 5 reels with 4 rows by default and 50 paylines stands in this street full of symbols tied to luck and prosperity. An RTP of 95.97% and a bet range of 0.20 to 10 per spin round off the game's technical specifications.

To win prizes, players rely on the paying symbols, which must line up from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel. The Chinese lantern, the dim sum basket, the teapot and the fortune cookie pay between 6 and 400 credits, while the royals A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 pay between 2 and 20 credits. As the Wild, the lantern also substitutes for all symbols except the Free Spins symbol and the fireball.

Fire Link Feature
Each fireball displays a value between 1x and 100x the total bet, or one of the Mini, Minor or Major jackpots. In Fire Link mode, if the eighth row is active, fireballs can be worth between 10x and 100x the total bet or one of the jackpots, including the Mega Jackpot worth 10,000x the bet.

In the base game, you need 4 or more Scatter symbols to trigger Fire Link mode and receive 3 spins. All the fireballs that triggered the bonus are held in place for the whole of the bonus, and each time a new fireball lands on an active row, the number of remaining spins resets to 3.

At the start of the bonus, 8 rows are displayed but only 4 are active. To activate more rows, you need to collect a certain number of fireballs. Once 8 fireballs have been collected, the fifth row is unlocked, and it then takes 12, 16 and 20 to activate the sixth, seventh and eighth rows.

At the end of the bonus, the prizes shown on each fireball are added together and paid out to the player.

Free Spins Bonus
Land three Free Spins symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 to gain access to the free spins along with 2x the total bet. When the bonus is triggered, you get to choose one of the following six bonuses:

- Option 1: Receive 20 Free Spins with Wild Multipliers of x2, x3, x5.
- Option 2: Receive 15 Free Spins with Wild Multipliers of x3, x5, x8.
- Option 3: Receive 10 Free Spins with Wild Multipliers of x5, x8, x10.
- Option 4: Receive 7 Free Spins with Wild Multipliers of x8, x10, x15.
- Option 5: Receive 5 Free Spins with Wild Multipliers of x10, x15, x25.
- Option 6: Receive one of the previous Free Spins options, chosen at random.

During the bonus, a random multiplier from the selected group of multipliers applies to any win containing at least one Wild. The Free Spins can also be retriggered in the same way, by landing a Scatter on reels 2, 3 and 4 during the Free Spins.

Discover the cultural influence of China Street
Light & Wonder carries on its journey around the world, taking along its Fire Link feature, which collects fireballs to build up prizes and jackpots. On top of that, the Free Spins come with a choice of volatility levels: the player selects the number of spins and the multiplier attached to the Wilds, which makes for a more tailored session. This time, players get to wander through Chinatown in Ultimate Fire Link China Street, with luck and prosperity on offer for those who pass through.
