Sizzling Gems Slot - Novomatic

Discover the iconic Sizzling Gems slot from Novomatic (Greentube) in its free demo version in our guide! If you are here, it is probably because you want to recapture the feel of this staple game, which is usually found on the floors of land-based casinos. We are pleased to say that it is indeed available as a free demo version, so you can practise for as long as you like.

The Sizzling Gems slot comes in a bright, gleaming frame that recalls the earliest Vegas slots. Its grid has 5 reels with 3 rows and 10 paylines that can be adjusted as you see fit. We always recommend playing all 10 lines, as it can quickly become frustrating to miss out on wins simply because the lines in question were not active. Bet between 1 credit and 100 credits per line and play from 0.10 to 100 per spin. You can also choose whether or not to switch on autoplay to automate your spins.

Once your bet is set, click the Start button to spin and watch the reels turn.

Your only goal in Sizzling Gems is to line up 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. With 10 paylines active, here are the payouts to expect for each symbol:

- The cherry and the lemon pay between 0.5x and 5x the total bet.
- The grapes and the blueberry pay between 1x and 10x the total bet.
- The watermelon pays between 2x and 20x the total bet.
- The 7 symbol pays between 4x and 50x the total bet.

There is also one special symbol, the Scatter, represented by the star:

- The star pays between 5x and 500x the total bet.

This Scatter symbol has the advantage of paying anywhere on the grid. The best combination you can land in Sizzling Gems is a grid completely covered in stars.

Gamble
A Gamble feature becomes available whenever a win lands. It lets you stake that win in a double-or-nothing mini game. This option remains entirely optional, of course, and gives you a shot at doubling the win you have just made. To do so, you need to correctly predict the colour (red or black) of the face-down card. You can guess again several times to try to double your win more than once, but be careful: if you get it wrong, you lose the whole amount previously won, so do not push your luck too far and lock in your win.

In the end, Sizzling Gems offers all the authenticity that long-standing slot fans are looking for. Fancy a retro feel, a good dose of nostalgia, simple sounds and traditional symbols such as cherries, 7s and watermelons? The Sizzling Gems slot is very likely what you need, given how thoroughly it strips out complex, cumbersome mechanics. No Free Spins, no Megaways and no Hold & Win mode. Here you click, the reels spin and you see straight away whether you have won or not, nothing more, nothing less. This game is less volatile than newer slots, which means it pays out more frequently, even if the wins are sometimes smaller. It is ultimately this simplicity that gives this casino game all its charm, so do give the demo version a try!
