Gates of Heaven 1000 Slot - Pragmatic Play

Zeus has become a model employee at Pragmatic Play — always showing up, never on strike, still hurling his thunderbolts with the same conviction as back in 2021.
Released in May 2026, the Gates of Heaven 1000 slot is the direct sequel to Gates of Heaven, which itself was part of the long lineage kicked off by Gates of Olympus. We're back in this divine kingdom, left almost entirely unchanged since last time, with a bearded god holding his scepter to the right of the grid. The floor looks maybe a little more golden and the sky a little more overcast than in the previous title, but otherwise the scene is familiar. Let's see if anything has actually evolved in the gameplay and stats.
To play Gates of Heaven 1000, we're back on a 6x5 Scatter Pays grid with a genuinely high RTP of 98.01% and volatility still set at its maximum. As for win potential, it reaches 15,000x the bet — three times more than the original title. Bet between €0.20 and €300 per spin to get a closer look at Zeus.
The symbols carry over the divine theme of the series, with colored gems for low-value payouts, followed by the cup, the ring, the hourglass, and the crown for higher payouts. These symbols pay anywhere on the grid, as long as at least 8 identical ones are visible at the end of a spin. The portrait of the Greek god serves as the Scatter symbol, triggering Free Spins and also delivering direct payouts up to 100x the bet for 6 symbols on screen.
You'll once again experience the cascade mechanic combined with multiplier symbols.
Tumble Feature
After each winning spin, the symbols that contributed to the combination disappear, those above fall to fill the gaps, and new symbols arrive from the top. The sequence continues as long as new combinations form, with no limit.
Multipliers
Winged multiplier symbols can randomly appear on all reels, both in the base game and during Free Spins. When one lands, it takes a random value from: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, or 1,000x. At the end of the cascade sequence, all multipliers on screen are added together and applied to the total win for the sequence.
Free Spins
Land 4 or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the grid to trigger Free Spins and receive 15 free rounds. During the bonus, the multiplier mechanic changes slightly: each time a multiplier symbol lands and results in a win, its value is added to a global multiplier that carries over until the end of the bonus. Any new multiplier that falls then both adds to this running total and multiplies the current win. Landing 3 or more Scatters during the feature awards 5 additional Free Spins, and special reels come into play throughout the bonus.
Ante Bet
Force fate with the Ante Bet, which increases the bet by 25% (i.e., 1.25x the base bet) and doubles the natural chances of triggering Free Spins, with more Scatters on the reels.
Buy Free Spins
You can activate Free Spins directly by paying 100x the total bet. On the triggering spin, 4 Scatters are guaranteed on screen. This option is not available when the Ante Bet is active.
A Re-release That Plays It Safe
Gates of Heaven 1000 is, above all, another re-release in a series that's been building up quite a few variants. Same graphics, same mechanics, and the same stoic Zeus standing to the right of the reels — the studio reveals very little that's new, if anything at all. The real additions boil down to a higher maximum win, multipliers that can now reach 1,000x, and an always comfortable RTP of 98.01%, one of the highest on the market.
Coming from a studio like Pragmatic Play, with the resources and know-how to innovate, you might have hoped for a bit more boldness rather than yet another iteration of the same model. That said, if the formula keeps getting re-released, it's because players keep coming back for it. Whether that keeps going much longer remains to be seen.
