Get ready for the brawl! Tank-riding soldiers race across a honeycomb grid, fighting over colorful gems they collect by rolling over them while firing rockets at the enemy — because what would be the point otherwise?
The Tanked 3: First Blood 2 slot from Nolimit City dropped in June 2026, and yes, sharp-eyed players will notice we jumped straight from Tanked (2024) to the third chapter — the studio simply skipped the second and went straight to the heavy artillery. The subtitle "First Blood 2" muddies the waters even further, but we'll roll with it. Essentially, you've got four clans, each led by a furious fighter, all squabbling over the grid by collecting resources in their own color and blowing each other up for the players' amusement. Gone is the multiplier system from the first game — now it's all about a collection mechanic and a whole host of new features.
Game setup
In Tanked 3: First Blood 2, you start on an unusual 7-reel grid laid out in a 4-5-6-5-6-5-4 format, running on Cluster Pays, split into 4 sections that can expand during explosions. If things go sideways as intended, the grid can stretch to a monstrous 9-10-11-12-13-12-11-12-13-12-11-10-9 — something no one has ever seen before. RTP is 95.99%, volatility is high, and the maximum win reaches 25,584x the bet. You can adjust your stake between €0.20 and €100 per spin to join the battle.
The symbols to collect are gems in four colors, each tied to a character. The pink gem is the most valuable, followed by orange, green and blue. Their values aren't fixed: each gem has 7 payment levels that increase as the game progresses. At their lowest, values start around 0.05x the bet; at their highest, the pink gem can reach 10x, orange 5x, green 4x and blue 3x.
As combatants, you've got four creatures mounted on tanks: a green crocodile, a pig (linked to orange), a cat wearing a red beret, and a scowling dog in blue. They move around the grid collecting gems in their own color — which is what triggers payouts. There's also a Wild symbol, and that one any character can pick up.
Rather than waiting for symbols to line up, you watch the characters roam the grid picking up gems that match their color. But they don't just play clean-up crew — they can shoot each other, blow up entire sections of the grid and set off a cascade of features. Here's how it all works.
xLoot
When a moving character rolls over a gem in their color, they collect it and the payout is awarded. Wilds can be picked up by any character. That's when xLoot Upgrade kicks in: the 7 payment levels of each gem go up when the corresponding character eliminates other characters. Each enemy killed raises the level by +1. There needs to be some serious carnage on the grid before those gems really start paying out.
Coins & Coinburst
Coins can appear with values ranging from 1 to 5,000. When a character picks one up, you pocket its value multiplied by the base bet. If the character gets killed, any coins they collected that round drop onto adjacent positions — but what's already been paid out stays yours. Coinburst is more generous: when a character grabs it, all positions the characters passed through during the spin (when landing or collecting) turn into coins. Only empty positions, gems and Wilds can transform, and a Wild turned into a coin can no longer be collected by others.
Tank Boosters
Five types of collectible items that turn characters into war machines. A character holds onto their booster until no more movement is possible on screen, then uses it:
- Rocket: the character fires at a wall near a random enemy. The explosion eliminates enemies and paying symbols within its radius, and expands the grid section by one step. Special symbols stay in place.
- Loot Rocket: works like the Rocket, but also picks up all special symbols dropped by killed characters, plus any new special symbols (except Bombs) that appeared during the expansion.
- Grenade: thrown at a random enemy, it removes all characters and paying symbols within the blast zone.
- Hatchet: the axe targets the character carrying it and clears characters and paying symbols around them — except the carrier stays on the reels.
- Airstrike: hits 2 to 3 enemies and removes characters and paying symbols within the explosion pattern.
Note that a character eliminated by one of these boosters respawns when new symbols fall, and they keep any boosters they had collected. These explosions don't affect coins, Bombs, Coinburst, other Tank Boosters, or Bonus and Wild symbols.
Bombs
There are 2 variants: the Bomb, which explodes in a single direction, and the Three Way Bomb, which fires in three directions at once. They detonate when no characters can move and all possible Tank Boosters have been used. The explosion removes all paying symbols and characters, and the grid expands in the direction of the blast. Characters hit will respawn when new symbols fall.
Pickpocket & Booms
When characters end up trapped next to each other with no moves possible, several things can happen depending on how many are stuck:
- Pickpocket: with 2 characters stuck together and no movement possible, one of them may receive a Tank Booster, a Coinburst or a Bonus symbol.
- Small Boom: with 3 characters stuck, the one that can clear the most symbols explodes, removing characters and paying symbols within its radius. Gems in its color gain +1 payment level.
- Big Boom: with all 4 characters stuck, they all explode, removing all paying symbols and expanding every section by one step. All gems gain +1 level.
xGlitch
A slightly unusual feature that can trigger when a character is limited to collecting just one symbol, causing only special symbols to fall during avalanches. This can repeat 4 to 50 times in a row, to the point where the game appears to be glitching. It's intentional.
Grid Expansion
The grid is divided into 4 sections (top-left, bottom-left, top-right, bottom-right). Each explosion that expands the grid does so by one step, and each section can be extended up to 3 times, reaching that legendary maximum layout of 9-10-11-12-13-12-11-12-13-12-11-10-9. Bombs expand the section in the direction of the explosion, Big Boom expands all sections, and Rocket/Loot Rocket expand the section closest to the impact. New special symbols may appear with each expansion.
Kill Drop
When a character is killed, they always drop a coin, plus any coins they collected before dying, onto adjacent positions. They may also drop a Tank Booster, a Bomb, a Three Way Bomb, a Bonus symbol or a Coinburst. So dying isn't always bad news around here.
Bonus modes
Three free spins modes, triggered depending on how many Bonus symbols a character manages to collect. During the bonus rounds, the scene shifts from the battlefield to a volcanic landscape and then a treasure chamber.
Thresher Spins
When a character collects 3 Bonus symbols, you unlock 7 Thresher Spins. Gem levels and grid size carry over from the base game and remain persistent throughout the bonus. Each Bonus symbol collected adds +1 spin.
Reaper Spins
With 4 Bonus symbols, it's 7 Reaper Spins. The mechanics are identical to Thresher Spins, with one key difference: coins on the reels become sticky and stay between spins until collected. Any coins already present when the bonus triggers also remain for its entire duration.
The Dead Pay Well
The top tier, triggered with 5 Bonus symbols for 7 spins. It's Reaper Spins taken further: coins collected by characters are paid out and then carried from one spin to the next (including those collected at the point of triggering). And when a character is killed, all the coins they were carrying drop onto adjacent positions and will pay out again if collected.
Feature Buy
If you want to get straight to the action, several purchase options are available:
- Thresher Spins: 100x the bet.
- Reaper Spins: 300x the bet.
- The Dead Pay Well: 800x the bet.
- Max Win (God Mode): 4,000x the bet, to try to land the Max Win symbol on the reels.
- Lucky Draw: 325x the bet for a random bonus (50% Thresher, 25% Reaper, 25% The Dead Pay Well).
Alongside that, the Nolimit Booster offers additional in-game bet options: Bonus Blitz (2x the bet) guarantees 1 Bonus symbol, Guaranteed Coinburst (50x the bet) ensures 1 Coinburst, and Maxed Out (200x the bet) gives you a grid at maximum size with all gems at their highest value right from the start.
Finally, the Extra Spin may be offered at the end of a round: an additional spin with a choice of Tank Booster, which preserves the grid size and positions from the current round. The option only appears if its cost is less than or equal to the win from the previous spin.
To love Tanked 3, you have to love chaos
It is admittedly odd to jump from Tanked straight to Tanked 3, and then name it "First Blood 2" on top of that — but we'll forgive Nolimit City those quirks, because what we've got here is a real action game, built on bombs, explosions and symbols disappearing in every direction. The original Tanked didn't quite land, feeling more like a dud than a detonation, and that's probably why NLC took another shot at it — well aware of the wasted potential. The improvements are real: the coin collection system that was missing from the start, the grid expansion, the constant destruction. But to get hooked, you have to accept that you won't always follow what's happening, because there will be plenty of moments where you lose the thread entirely — sometimes landing on great wins... sometimes on a flop like a missile that never finds its mark. Lots of features, a spectacular fireworks show to watch — one that doesn't always pay out as much as it sizzles.
